Our Mission
The Tenafly Korean Parents Association (KPA) strengthens and connects Korean families, fostering cultural pride and providing support so that our children can thrive as active and engaged members of the broader community, while promoting awareness and appreciation of Korean culture throughout Tenafly.
Purposes
The Association is organized and operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes, specifically to:
(a) Enhance educational opportunities for students of Korean heritage in Tenafly public schools;
(b) Foster goodwill and cooperation among member parents, faculty, administration, and the Board of Education;
(c) Promote Korean culture through community engagement in Tenafly.
Some of our recent activities include: sponsoring holiday luncheons for school staff, supporting international events at elementary schools, sponsoring scholarships for Tenafly High School students, hosting an annual Lunar New Year Celebration Event since 2007, and participating in major community events such as Tenafly Community Night and the Tenafly 5K Run, where we connect with residents and promote Korean culture as the Tenafly KPA.
The Tenafly KPA consists of a Board of Directors along with School Officers from all six public schools and 5 Standing Committees in the Tenafly district.
